Rishabh Pant makes new record at Guyana T20I

Guyana: Rishabh Pant, Indian batsman wicket keeper, played a brilliant knock of 65(42) against West Indies on the third T20 international on Tuesday. The wicketkeeper batsman smashed 65 runs breaking MS Dhoni’s past record of 56 in 2017 for the most runs as an Indian wicketkeeper batsman in T20 Internationals.

Pant stitched a 106-run stand with captain Virat Kohli as India gunned down a 147-run total with relative ease. This was also marked as the highest partnership till now in Guyana ground in an International T20 match, earlier highest runs partnership was of 96 runs.

Also after this match Virat Kohli has equaled Rohit Sharma’s record of most 50 plus scores. India lift the trophy for T20 series and now aims to grab the trophy for upcoming ODI and Test series.  Pant was under the pump after having thrown his wickets away in the T20Is in Florida. In the opening match of the series, he was dismissed for 0 while he was caught in the deep for 4 in the 2nd T20I.
