Dravid to face Interest Allegations

New Delhi: The notice was issued to Dravid on conflict of interest allegations made by MPCA member Sanjay Gupta. Rahul Dravid has been given two weeks to reply on the allegations made against him on the ethics.

BCCI ethics officer, Justice (retd.) DK Jain issued a notice to Rahul Dravid on conflict of interest allegations made by Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA). Ganguly expresses his displeasure of accusing such a great player with such allegations. Harbhajan Singh who excelled in his career under his captaincy came to support Sourav in his remarks.

Sourav Ganguly tweeted “New Fashion in Cricket… Conflict of Interest… Best Way to remain in news… God help Indian Cricket… Dravid gets conflict of Interest notice from BCCI.” He stated. Supporting his former captain, Harbhajan Singh tweeted “Really? Don’t know where it’s heading to…you can’t get a better person than him for Indian Cricket…Sending notice to these legends is like insulting them… cricket needs their service for betterment. Yes god save Indian Cricket”.

Rahul Dravid also known as the ‘Wall of Cricket’ is accused in conflict of interest as he is current Director of National Cricket Academy and Vice President of India Cements Group which owns Chennai Super Kings.

Earlier also such allegations have been filed against legends like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman for their roles as Cricket Advisory Committee member and mentors of IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. Tendulkar and Laxman made lengthy depositions before Jain on their case and denied having any conflict while offering step down from CAC proved otherwise.
