Body of a man and a 16-year-old girl were found hanging from a tree in Obari village of Sitapur district on Saturday.
The police suspects that the duo committed suicide as their families were against them being in a relationship.
Sitapur Superintendent Police Ghule Susheel Chandrabhan said that actual cause of death will be revealed after the post-mortem, however the primary evidence suggests that the two had committed suicide.
The man’s age was 19 years old while the girl was 16 years-old and were residents of the same village, the police said. They were allegedly in a relationship for the last two years and their families against their relationship the police at Kotwali police station have learnt.
