Winters, beauty, skin care, lips, body hot showersAfter waiting for months sweating in the scotching heat and sun, winters are back! The chilly dry wind, low temperature, low humidity and indoor heating that come with winter can play havoc on your skin, lips and other parts of the body. What about the skin problems that winters bring along? No more worries, here are 5 top homemade tips for healthy and glowing skin in winters:

  1. Wash in Luke Warm Water

Hot showers and baths always feel good in the winter, when just washing your face or hands; choose lukewarm water to avoid stripping as many oils away from the skin because of hot water. So remember to keep it lukewarm.

  1. Banana and butter mask

Take the fresh banana and mash the banana into smooth paste. Now add the same amount of butter to the mashed banana. Instead of butter you can add the skimmed milk cream to the mashed banana. Mix both the ingredients well. Now apply this paste all over the face. The butter or skimmed milk cream is the natural moisturiser for the skin and prevents the dry skin. Banana acts as the pack to keep the moisture in the skin.

  1. Potato and curd Mask

Potato helps in getting relieved from sunburns.Take 1 potato and smashes it, now take ½ spoon of curd. Mix 1 spoon of smashed potato paste and ½ spoon curd well. Apply it on your face, let it remain for 15 minutes and after that wash face with cold water.

  1. Use of Sunscreen

Always use a sunscreen (even in winters) to protect your skin from the sun. Though the sun rays in winters are less harsh but still they are enough to tan your skin. Therefore never break the bond with your sunscreen.

  1. The Diet

A diet rich in Vitamin A, C, E, and Potassium and several other minerals and natural fatty acids, it helps hydrate the skin to maintain its elasticity and softness. Almonds, Grapefruit, Olive Oil, Broccoli and avocados are a very good source of all the above elements.

Now as you know the basic tips for your winter skin care routine, you can go out carefree and enjoy the weather without worrying about your skin.
