Satti reappointed as Himachal BJP chief for the third time

Shimla: Satpal Satti has been reappointed as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Himachal Pradesh unit for the third time today.

The name of Satti, a third-time legislator from Una, was proposed by former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, three MPs and 20 legislators.

The election was held here, and union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, who hails from the state, was also present.

Satti, known for his plain-speaking, took over from Khimi Ram in February 2012 after he was inducted as a minister in the then Dhumal government and remained the president for over one year before getting a full three-year term.
