Deepika Padukone's advertisement accused of theft from a Hollywood Director

Usually, you have heard about copying songs, music or stories from the film, but this time Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s new advertisement has been accused of stealing. Recently an ad by Deepika has been released in which she is seen promoting a branded jeans. This ad of the actress has been going viral on social media for the last several days. Now the advertisement has been accused of stealing the concept by Soni Tarporewala, director of the Hollywood film ‘Yeh Ballet’.

Sony has written a lengthy post on her social media account Instagram, circling the advertising company, in which she has expressed displeasure. Sony has also shared photos of that set on their Instagram, which seems to match Deepika’s ad set. In these photos, Sony has also shared a photo of Deepika Padukone.

While sharing the photos, the director wrote, “A few days ago I was shown this ad. After watching the advertisement, I was shocked to see that the Yeh Ballet dance studio set has been used in it. It was both conceptualized and created by Shailaja Sharma and disbanded after the shoot was over. Basically, the director of the advertisement saw Yeh Ballet and thought about copying our set. Can the brand and the directors of this Ad think of doing so without permission and knowledge abroad? What will they do if done with their creative work? This is a steal. There is an injustice to our fabulous designer. How would it feel to see that his set has been used? The culture of copycats running in India should now be discontinued. Then you will know that foreign production companies and directors know you better. Are you bankrupt in a very creative way? What are you thinking? ‘.
