Bihar Government announces to reopen schools

The Bihar Government has announced to reopen schools in the state from class 1 to class 5. This is the second time that the government has decided to reopen schools in the state.

Bihar chief secretary Deepak Kumar conducted a meeting on Friday with the crisis management group and discussed the guidelines that the schools need to follow amid the Covid-19 situation in the state. Moreover, the panel at the meeting decided to reopen schools after March 01, 2021, onwards.

Students will be inspected after 15 days of school reopening and the decision will be taken whether to continue them with classes or not, said Deepak Kumar, chief secretary of the state.

Covid-19 instructions given to Bihar schools

The classes will be conducted on alternative days for students. In short, 50% of the students will be able to attend the classes on a day, while on the next day another 50% will attend, as per the Covid-19 guidelines given by the state government.

Bihar schools have been reopened for classes 9 to 12 from February 04, 2021, while for classes 6 to 8, schools are functional since February 08, 2021.

Students are told to wear masks, observe social distancing, and use sanitizing.
