BCCI clears the decision on India’s next head coach

New Delhi: BCCI clears the decision on choosing the next head coach for Indian Cricket Team. It has been a matter of discussion from past few days after World Cup 2019. Kapil Dev will head the committee for choosing the next head coach for the Indian Cricket Team along with other officials in the team.

The statement came from Vinod Rai, who is in the committee of administrators for the BCCI on Monday 5th August 2019. Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad and Shantha Rangaswamy had been formally appointed as the new COC by COA. CAC members have been cleared of any conflict and free to pick India’s Men’s Cricket Teams new Head Coach.

The decision of making COA (Committee of Administrators) and three members in (Cricket Advisory Committee) is taken by the honorable Supreme Court of India. Regarding the conduct of BCCI elections on 22 October, Rai said that 26 state associations are fully Lodha compliant and have appointed their electoral officers for the state unit polls.

Rai told, “We will be going to consult with the amicus. 26 states can have their elections and four more are fully compliant but yet to appoint the electoral officer. Obviously those who will be compliant will only be allowed to vote in BCCI elections”. The current staff was given 45 days extension in their period following the World Cup and West Indies Tour till September 3rd of this year. The current staff included Head Coach Ravi Shastri, Bowling Coach Bharat Arun, Batting Coach Sanjay Bangar and fielding coach R Sridhar.
