Apple customer’s privacy endangered

California: Tech giant Apple suspends its most loved AI Software ‘Siri’ as many complaints were registered that the device could hear the conversation even when it was off. After getting many such complaints Apple has finally taken the ‘siri’ application for the test.

‘Siri’ is software embedded in the apple devices to help the owner to perform any task or search for anything in the Apple device. The application eavesdropped on the conversations without user-knowledge or permissions even when the application was not activated. This raised a global uproar over privacy concerns.

The eye-opener is that Apple recently claimed that some of the conversations were being tracked without knowledge of the customers. Apple said it is only “a small proportion” of the conversation tracked. The tech also said that with future software updates, the users would get to choose whether they wish to share their information for grading and quality tests performed to analyze Siri’s query hearing capabilities.

However, Apples leading contender the Google Assistant provides the users option to disable microphone recording while still using the voice assist feature. Whereas Apple gives the option of either to completely switch off ‘Siri’ or not at all. This raises a major concern for privacy to the customers who were using Apple smart phones and devices.
