Lucknow: In a friendly cricket match played between online media team of young journalist with group of electronic media players from city of Nawabs they have defeated TV journalism player by 73 runs played at Alibagh resort here today.
The team of web journalist consists of online web media team of ‘Aaj Ki Khabar’ whereas Electronic media team was a group of mixed players from different news channels.
The journalists who was always busy in highlighting problems of common people with their writing skills was seen for the first time holding bats in their hands on Sunday, January 6th during a friendly cricket match that was organized between the teams of electronic media and web media at Alibagh Resort.
In this match, the captain of web media team Chandrasena Verma won the toss and elected to bat first whereas opponent team skipper of electronic media was under the command of Abhinav Pandey have to settled his team for fielding.
The opening batsman from Aaj Ki Khabar team Devanshu Tiwari and Brijesh Singh who came score for the web journalist team faced lots of difficulties from the bowlers of opponent team in the early overs. Although, Electronic media team bowler Gagan Mishra kept both the batsmen with his sharp bowling.

It is interesting to notice that web media team batsman after facing tough situation in the first four overs opened their hands later and churned the fours and sixes on the field by scoring huge amount of runs for their team.
The Web media team opening batsman scored 136 runs in 15 overs with a brilliant contribution of Brijesh Singh’s (50) and Devanshish Tiwary (47).
After this, the team of electronic media, which followed the goal of 136 runs, was also quite slow in reaching their target but managed few runs for their team later.
The result of electronic media team was they only manage to score only 63 runs in 15 overs. On behalf of the web media, Shariib Jafri sent back four players to the pavilion while Faiq Ansari did not give an opportunity to open the batsman with his sharp bowling.
On other hand, Brijesh Singh, who scored a brilliant 50 runs for the Web media team, was given the Man of the Match award.
