Lucknow: After naming Allahabad as Prayagraj, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath announces Faizabad to be known as Ayodhya now onwards, The CM declared the new name of Faizabad district during a speech in Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali.

This declaration of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today in a Diwali speech from the holy city was revered by millions of Hindus as the birthplace of Lord Ram.

Yogi Adityanath on Monday while delivering his speech said, “Why are those protesting the change not named Raavan or Duryodhan? Why didn’t their parents name them ‘Raavan’ and ‘Duryodhan’ in that case? In this country, the name holds a lot of significance.”

The option to resolve the Ayodhya dispute through community dialogue is “over” and the BJP will work towards the construction of a Ram temple here through constitutional or legislative means, the party’s Faizabad district chief said Tuesday.

Faizabad BJP president Awadhesh Pandey claims that majority population of Ayodhya want to see the temple being built as it is a “matter of faith” for them and the “BJP is the only party that raises this issue for them.”
