With this festival celebration we all know that love and feeling of special care grows between brothers and sister. As we all know that Raksha Bandhan popular as Rakhi festival which use to be celebrated during full moon, in the month of Shravan.
On this special occasion sisters use to tie Rakhi on the hand of their brothers lovingly that is popularly known as ‘Raksha Dhaga’ and in return brother use to give gifts to their siblings.

This year’s Raksha Bandhan thread tying ceremony time starts from 05:59 am to 17:25 pm, the total duration is of 11 Hours 26 minutes.
On other side the Aparahan time of Raksha Bandhan Muhurat starts from 13:39 pm and it will finish at 16:12 pm and the total duration is of 2 Hours 33 Mins.
According to Drikpanchang, Raksha Bandhan Bhadra gets over before Sunrise and its Purnima Tithi begins at 15:16 pm on 25 August 2018, the end time of Purnima Tithi will be on 26 August 2018 at 17:25 pm.
According to Hindu mythology, Lord Sri Krishna had once given order to Yudhishtir to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with his army and had asked that it would help him protect the Pandavas and also their army. Sri Krishna has also said that power of the ‘Raksha Sutra’ is distinctive and supreme.
The Raksha Bandhan festival is also known as Shravan Purnima in northern parts of India and in Southside of India, Raksha Bandhan is marked with the name of Avni Avittam or Nariyal (Coconut) Purnima.
In Central India the festival is celebrated as Kajree Poonam and in the Gujarat state it is celebrated in form of Pavitropanna.
The festival is popularly known as Ram Rakhi Lumba in the state of Rajasthan, where a tiny yellow color pom-pom thread is tied to the deity.
