Lucknow: The Inter-State Environment Conference was today organized by the Pragati Environmental Protection Trust at Sangeet Natak Academy in Uttar Pradesh state capital on 4th June. The main objective of this event was to make people aware about the environment and motivate people to plant a tree in every house.
Basically, this conference was organised on the occasion of World Environment Day during which all the guests were welcomed by giving plants Tulsi and Neem tree. During the same event many peoples were awarded with UP Ratan award, Environment-Friendly Ratna award, Pragati Ratna, the UP Gaurav Samman, the UP Mahila Ratna and the Senior Citizen Ratna awards.
Not only this, about 75 people from media industry have also been honoured in this event which includes senior journalists and Editor-In-Chief of Aaj Ki Khabar, Mr Chandrasen Verma beside him another senior journalist Hemant Tiwari has also been awarded. Apart from this, representatives from four major newspapers of Lucknow, Dainik Jagran, Hindustan, Amar Ujala and Navbharat Times also received their rewards.
On World Environment Day about 25 people facilitated with awards in Lucknow:
In the same event, Padmashree Awardee for Environment, Anil Prakash Joshi, Government of India Advisor for Environment Ministry, Dr. Afroz, Cabinet Minister, Dr. Brijesh Pathak, Director of Indian Dairy, Guru Prasad, Deputy Director of Theatre Drama broadcast of the Government of India, Dr. Ashish Santoshi, Senior IAS officer NP Singh and many other officials were also present on the occasion.
Also on this occasion, 25 other people were given Environmental Protection Award, about 150 people given Pragati Award, near about 21 people were facilitated with UP Ratan, 25 people were given Senior Journalist award and 21 people were awarded with the UP Mahila Ratna.
In the last many colorful events dedicated to the environment by the children were also presented, which was meant to make people aware of the environment.
