New Delhi: World Environment Day is most important day for United Nations (UN) to encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. In order to raise awareness, about protecting it, every year on June 5 is marked as World Environment Day as it has been designated by the World Governing Body.
The day also enables everyone to be more responsible in the way they conduct themselves and treat the environment.
Since World Environment Day was started celebrating from 1974. It has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.
India is the global host this year and the theme is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’.
The day has provided a global platform for like-minded people to reach out to each other.

Plastic bottles take 450 years or more to decompose, harming us and our environment. I’m now one step closer towards purging plastic from my life. Hope you guys will make the switch too!
