Uttar Pradesh likely to get 21 new IAS officers, promoted from PCS cadre

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to hold a meeting today in the national capital regarding to take call on promoting 21 PCS officers from 1994 to 1996 batch into IAS officer.

 

 

Now after this meeting if these PCS officers got promoted to IAS officers then it is expected that on November 23rd, the Uttar Pradesh state will get 21 new IAS officers which will be good news for current state government.

It is interesting to notice that with the promoting of these PCS officers into IAS category, the UP government will get a little bit of relief because next year around 37 IAS officers are going to retire from UP cadre.

 

21 PCS cadre officers to be promoted as IAS for Uttar Pradesh:

 

In this regards, the panel of UP Senior Officers has also gone to Delhi to join the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting. These include State Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar along with Additional Chief Secretary Personnel and Chairman Revenue Council.

 

 

Let us tell you that currently there are 621 cadres IAS officers in Uttar Pradesh among which many of them have joined the PCS cadre after joining. Now it is believed as the about 37 IAS is going to retire in year 2018 these 21 PCS promoted officers will serve under Yogi Government.

For this the state government has sent a proposal of 63 names to DPC which is three times more for the required number of IAS officer being promoted from PCS to IAS category. These included the names of the officers of 1986, 1994 and 1996 batches.

Now here is the list of names sent to DPC for promoting PCS officers into IAS:

 

 

1986 Batch – JB Singh (first), Abha Gupta
1994 batch – Prabhanshu Kumar, Udai Ram, Surendra Ram, Suryamani Lal, OP Arya, Krishna Kumar, Bhishmlal, Sudha Verma.
1996 batch – KK Gupta, Avdesh Kumar Tiwari, Devendra Kumar, Anil Mishra, OP Roy, Uday Bhanu Tripathi, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Kedarnath Singh, Devendra Singh Kushwaha, Shiv Prasad (first), Renu Tiwari, Seshmani Tiwari, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Rakesh Kumar, Avnish Kumar Sharma, Mamta Yadav, Ram Narayan Singh Yadav, Ram Niwas, Santosh Kumar, Rajesh Tyagi, Manoj Kumar Radhey Shyam and Sheshnath.
