Tumakuru: Many people agitated on different matter for there different demands but here in Karnataka in a very weird incident a man witnessed agitations due to lack of condoms in a government hospital. Tumakuru district of Karnataka saw a unique case of non-availability of condoms triggering a protest.

Ganesh, a native of Chikkamagalur, had come to his wife in Tiptur. However, before meeting her, he went to the local government hospital to buy condoms. On finding out there were no condoms available at the hospital, Ganesh went on to question the authorities.

In a vague response he was told that a few miscreants had stolen the condom dispenser from the premises. Not convinced, Ganesh went on a protest in front of the hospital, demanding a condom dispenser be set up immediately.

Despite doctors and staff trying to convince him to discontinue his protest, he refused to budge. Finally, the hospital purchased condoms from a private medical shop and gave it to Ganesh for free.

Explaining why he was so adamant, Ganesh said” HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases are fast spreading. Condom dispensers are a must at government hospitals. I protested for a cause and I am not ashamed of it.”
