Clashes erupt in Kashmir village

Srinagar : Clashes erupted on Saturday between protesters and security forces near Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said

The clashes took place in Sugan village adjacent to Chillipora village where a gunfight had started on Friday between security forces and holed-up militants.

However, the militants reportedly escaped later on Friday night, the police said.

Tear smoke was used to disperse the protesters with no reports of any casualties.
