PM Modi “nothing to do” with CBI raid at Kejri’s office, says Naidu

New Delhi:  Soon after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi over raid in Secretariat today, Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu responded by saying that the prime minister has “nothing to do” with the CBI raids at CM’s office.

“CBI is an independent organisation. The government does not interfere at all. How can you criticize the central government and the prime minister? PM has nothing to do with this,” Naidu told reporters here after Kejriwal took to twitter to say that the CBI had raided his office.

“It has become fashionable from the Delhi chief minister to quarrel with central government and take PM’s name for everything,” he said and added: “CBI does not function under the government. Gone are days of Congress when CBI used to be misused.”

Kejriwal said his office was raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday morning.

“CBI raided my office,” Kejriwal tweeted.

Delhi chief minister’s office is located at the Delhi Secretariat.
