Two new fresh Covid-19 cases detected in Delhi Capitals camp

At least two more fresh cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Delhi Capitals’ contingent, including an overseas player. It is understood that the other positive case concerns a support staff member.

On Friday, Patrick Farhart, the team’s physio, had tested positive – it was the first Covid case in any of the team bubbles to be reported since the start of IPL 2022, on March 26. After Saturday’s defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium, Capitals’ players and staff didn’t shake hands with the opposition as the IPL had asked them to maintain social-distancing.

The Capitals were meant to travel from Mumbai to Pune on Monday, ahead of their clash against Punjab Kings at the MCA Stadium on Wednesday.
