In order to make electric two wheelers affordable, the Government of India has changed the FAME II subsidy in the country. Doing so will make it easier to promote rapid adoption and manufacture of electric vehicles in India. However, for the past few days, we are continuously telling you about the benefits of this subsidy, how all the companies are cutting the price of their EVs one after the other. On the same lines, the price of Hero Optima HX has come down by up to Rs 15,600.

The Optima HX dual-battery variant is now priced at Rs 58,990, ex-showroom (India). Which was earlier 74,660 for the Optima HX Dual Battery. At the same time, the price of the single battery variant of this scooter has now gone up to Rs 53,600, which was Rs 61,640 earlier. If you are interested in buying this scooter, then you can book online for the Optimax HX electric scooter with a token amount of Rs 2,999 on the company’s website.

The FAME II scheme was launched in 2019. The vehicles to be subsidized under this scheme must have a driving range of at least 80 km. However, the top speed of these vehicles was limited to 40 kmph. In the newly revised scheme, the subsidy amount has been expanded for electric two-wheelers that meet the previous criteria. Where earlier the government had announced a subsidy amount of 10,000 per kWh. At the same time, 50% more subsidy is being provided at 15,000 per kWh under the new FAME II scheme.
