Professional boxer Vijender Singh set for return to ring next month

Indian professional boxer Vijender Singh will return to the ring next month after being out for more than a year due to the Covid-19  pandemic and his opponent will be announced soon. The match will be held in India but its location will be revealed later.

Vijender is the defending WBO Oriental and WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion. He fought his last match in November 2019. This will be Vijender’s fifth match in India. He has previously fought in New Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur. This Indian has been practicing hard for the last one month and is ready to compete.

Vijender said, “I am really excited to be back in the ring and working hard to keep myself fit for the match.” The opponent does not really matter because I am focusing on carrying forward my victory campaign. ”

Vijender, the reigning WBO Oriental and WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight champion defeated Ghana’s former Commonwealth Champion Charles Adamu in Dubai to claim his 12th successive win in November 2019. He has not competed ever since.

This will be Vijender’s fifth fight in India, following successes in New Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur.
