US & China again face to face with the removal of trade restrictions

China and the US have come face-to-face once again, although this time the matter is about the removal of trade restrictions, not the corona deadlock between the two countries. China has urged the US to lift the trade embargo and stop its intervention. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on the US on Monday to lift the ban on trade and people-to-people contact, as well as not to interfere unfairly in the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet.

Commenting on US-China relations, the foreign minister has pressured the current US President Joe Biden’s administration to abandon several confrontational decisions adopted by former President Donald Trump. He said the Biden administration was under pressure from the trade and technology grievance, which the Trump administration had in 2017 to increase duties on Chinese imports and ban educational exchanges, including Chinese tech companies. During this time the military and diplomatic relations with Taiwan were also upgraded by Trump.

Simultaneously, the Chinese Foreign Minister said that we know that the new US administration is reviewing and assessing its foreign policy. We hope that the new Prashanas will keep pace with the times and move forward by abandoning prejudice, clearly seeing the trend of the world. In order to ensure the healthy steady growth of China and the US, the Chinese Foreign Minister said that the US should move forward leaving undue suspicion to bring back China’s policy. While President Joe Biden has not made it clear whether he will make any fundamental changes to Washington’s policies towards Beijing.
