Additional Chief Secretary of Secondary Education Department Aradhana Shukla said that all the students of the board will be given the opportunity to take two exams in a year. Students will be able to take the exam without any stress, while their tendency towards coaching will also be less. One time the exam will be held at its scheduled time and the second time will be for improving the result of the students. These changes will be made under the new National Education Policy. Arrangements will also be made to teach students from class nine to class 12 in English medium in government secondary schools. A section English medium will be opened in secondary schools.

UP board’s high school and intermediate exams will now be held twice a year. From the year 2023, this chance will be given to the board examinees. By having a board examination twice a year, students will get an opportunity to increase the number of subjects in which they have got less marks.

Report through assessment of the personality of studying students in the state Board of Medical Card will be ready. Class 9 students will be given a new report card from the new session 2021-22. In this report card, students will be evaluated on the basis of their cognitive, emotional and psychomotor domains. That is, other points will be assessed, including the speed of students’ work and the ability to understand and analyze. Artificial Intelligence (AI) based software will be developed from academic session 2021-22. Students will be assessed on the basis of interactive questionnaires.
 UP board exam pattern will also change. The pattern will be changed from the year 2023 of the high school examination and from the year 2025 of the intermediate examination. The new pattern will be applicable only for the students of class nine from 2021-22. The question paper will be in two parts. The first paper will be of one hour. There will be 30 multiple choice questions in this paper and their examination will be done on OMR sheet. The second paper of two hours will be descriptive. It will be of 70 marks. Higher thinking skills questions will also be placed in these papers.
