777 villages affected by floods in 16 districts in UP, food grains given to people

In UP, 777 villages of 16 districts (Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bahraich, Ballia, Barabanki, Basti, Badaun, Deoria, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kushinagar, Santkabir Nagar, Shahjahanpur and Sitapur) are flooded.

290 medical teams are engaged on the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath to help people in flood affected areas. In addition, 784 flood posts and 373 flood shelters have been prepared for public service.

Till date, a total of 96,834 food grains kits have been distributed to the general public in the affected areas. In which 6,462 food grains kits have been distributed in the last 24 hours.

On the instructions of CM Yogi, MP Rajesh Verma and MLA Sunil Verma inspected the flood area of ​​Tehsil Laharpur in Sitapur and gave necessary instructions to the officials and distributed relief material.

At the same time, MLA Sharad Awasthi has distributed relief work and relief material in flood affected area of ​​Ramnagar, Tehsil district of Barabanki.
