Rakshabandhan is a festival of mutual love, affection and trust of siblings : CM Yogi

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has said that the protocol of covid-19 should be followed completely on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

No public event should be held. All the rituals of the festival should be done at home.

CM Yogi has further said that Rakshabandhan is a festival of mutual love, affection and trust of brothers and sisters.

This festival is a symbol of duty, intimacy, sacrifice, social unity and a sense of harmony.

“Rakshabandhan festival is celebrated on the day of Shravan Purnima.

In the month of Shravan, the sages lived and studied in the ashram and performed sacrifices.

On Shravan Poornima, there was a full sacrifice of monthly yagna.

At the end of the yajna there was a practice of tying Rakshasutra to the Yajamans and disciples, which is also followed as Raksha Bandhan.

The festival of Rakshabandhan also serves to increase love and brotherhood in the society. ” CM Yogi further said.
