Demand to ban Chinese goods continues to grow. After the ban on 59 Chinese mobile apps, there has been a demand to shut down Chinese games related to children.

Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee meeting on Information Technology on Tuesday demanded a ban on the popular but controversial Chinese game PubG among children. The agenda of the meeting was data privacy and data security.

Apart from this, some members expressed concern over the Chinese app being used in the country despite the ban on 59 Chinese mobile apps.

It most prominently referred to the cam scanner. The cam scanner is used to scan documents and photos on mobile and is also included in 59 restricted mobile apps.

Members particularly expressed concern that the police administration of the country is also using this app. The members were more worried about whether sensitive information was being stolen through this app.
