Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has anointed Lord Shiva at Gorakhnath temple on the auspicious occasion of the first Monday of Sawan 2020 Shravan month and sought blessings for the welfare and uplift of the people.
After regular morning worship, the Chief Minister first went to the Mansarovar Temple and performed Rudrabhishek in the Shiva temple there. He did the second Rudrabhishek in the Shaktipeeth of his residence in the Gorakhnath temple complex.
He offered 11 kg of ripe mango juice, 11 liters of milk, water, curd, ghee, sugar, honey, Ganga water and sugarcane juice to the prepared Mahadravya Shivling. Acharya Ramanuja Tripathi Vedic, the head priest of the entire ritual temple, performed it with his Vedapathi disciples.
