UPSTF has instructed all employees to remove the Chinese app. STF has issued an internal letter. Accordingly, all 52 Chinese apps have been asked to uninstall as soon as possible, as this is likely to cause data theft.

IG STF Amitabh Yash has ordered all employees to remove 52 Chinese apps from mobile. Families of STF employees have also been asked to remove the app.

The order has been issued by the STF following the guidelines of the Union Home Ministry. Indian intelligence agencies have given a list of 52 such apps to the government.

Personal and other data have been suspected to be stolen from popular apps like Tik Tok, Zoom App, UC Browser, Clean Master, Gender and Share Chat.
