New scam surfaced on Whats App, be cautious otherwise someone will use the app from your number.

A new case of fraud has surfaced on the instant messaging app WhatsApp. An account that claims to be from WhatsApp’s technical staff is asking users to share their verification code.This fake account is using WhatsApp logo as a profile picture to show the truth to the account. Please tell that the WhatsApp team does not use the messaging app to contact users. WhatsApp uses social media platforms to communicate public updates. He gives information about the new update using Facebook or the company’s official website.

Dario Navarro, a Twitter user, inquired about this scam message received by users. According to the screenshot shared by Navarro, the scammer sends a message in Spanish and asks users for a six-digit verification code to be used for account verification on their phones, which the users receive via SMS. Explain that the verification code is used to activate the WhatsApp account on the new device, which users get via SMS on their phone. The purpose of this security code is to protect users’ account on messaging app from bad factors.
