Hurricane Amfan may hit the coast of West Bengal today. During this period winds up to 155 to 185 kmph and heavy rain are expected.

The coastal parts of Odisha are experiencing strong winds at a speed of 82 kmph. People living in these areas have been evacuated to safer places.
According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone is seen moving at a very fast speed in the north and northwest direction. Amphan may hit Digha in West Bengal and Hadiya Coast in Bangladesh by this afternoon.
