Migrant laborers and urban poor will be provided houses at low cost – Finance Minister

An economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees was announced in the name of the country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made several announcements by holding press conference for the second consecutive day on this package.

emergency working capital fund

30,000 crore additional emergency working capital fund for farmers will be given to NABARD. This will be in addition to the first fund of 90 thousand crores received by NABARD and will be released immediately.

One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme 

One Nation, One Ration Card Scheme will be applicable till August 2020. With this, ration can be taken from depots in any part of the country.

national portability

By March 2021, 100 percent national portability will be done. The worker can get the ration of his right from any depot in the country.

Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme

The deadline of the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme on Ha Using Loans extended to middle income groups with an annual income of 6 to 18 lakhs increased to March 2021. It started in May 2017. 5 lakh families will get relief from the decision of the government.

Free food grains

Free food grains will be provided to migrant laborers for the next two months. The migrant laborer without card will be given 5 kg of grain and one kg of gram per family. This item will cost Rs 3500 crore. This will benefit 8 crore migrant laborers. It will be the responsibility of the state governments to implement it. 63 crore people from 23 states will get the benefit.

special loan

A special loan of Rs 10 thousand will be given for 50 lakh street-trawlers, for which the government will spend 5 thousand crore.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

For the migrant laborers, the scheme of low rent houses will be started under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under this, migrant laborers and urban poor could get houses to live at low cost. It will be implemented through PPP mode.

Under the MGNREGA

Under the MGNREGA, 62 crore jobs were created daily till 13 May. The average wage was increased from Rs 182 to Rs 202. Will eliminate discrimination in minimum wages. They will try to be the same in the whole country. The method of payment of salary will be simplified.

 Mudra (Shishu) loans

The government has given a three-month exemption on repayment of Mudra (Shishu) loans of 50000 rupees or less under the Mudra Scheme.

benefit of 2% subvention scheme

After this, the benefit of 2% subvention scheme i.e. interest rebate will be given for the next 12 months. Nearly 3 crore people gain a total of 1500 crores.
