In view of the lockdown in the Corona transition, the government has made large quantities of food grains available to the poor and other sections, so that the state does not have to face food shortage.
Out of 121 lakh tonnes of food grains for free distribution under PMGKA till June, more than half of the 61.81 LMT Grain Food Corporation of India (FCI) has provided support to all the states by April 30 in collaboration with Indian Railways.
The government has also thanked millions of food warriors for meeting this difficult challenge. These grains will be distributed free of cost under PMGKAY.
