Mumbai: The 10th edition of the Vogue beauty awards at JW Marriott, Mumbai last night was a star-struck affair last, quite literally. Keeping to the theme of ‘Disco’ for the 2019’s edition of the VBA, Bollywood stars turned up their glittering party attires, and were quite a treat to the eyes.
Sara Ali Khan was a vision to behold in midnight-blue ensemble. Sara’s gown comprised a sheer corset with a feathered skirt paired with black pumps. The actor completed the looks with dewy makeup and small studs with her hair pulled back in a wet look. She won the Fresh Face (Female) award.
For her second appearance at VBA, Kriti Sanon left heads turning in the most brilliant pink outfit by Monisha Jaising. Sanon is known for her affection for prints, however this time she went for a bejeweled outfit in a strong wash of fuchsia pink. Her outfit included a precious stone decorated sheer bodice and a sensational unsettled trail. She took home The Beauty of the Year award.
Malaika Arora left us speechless with her red carpet appearance. There can’t be a better way to describe bold and beautiful. Malaika’s layered ensemble is from the studios of AADNEVIK. Sobhita Dhulipala, who is a jury member of the Vogue Beauty Awards, made a splash on the red carpet in a white, one-shouldered, floor-sweeping number by Toni Maticevski. Sunny Leone picked a silver Mark Bumgarner to shine in; Shibani Dandekar broke some rules in thigh high boots and a short peach number.
Shahid Kapoor on Wednesday won the Man of the Decade award, while the Beauty Icon award went to Alia Bhatt at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2019. Sharmila Tagore was felicitated with the Beauty Legend award,Cancer survivors Sonali Bendre and Tahira Kashyap shared the Beauty Warrior award, Vicky Kaushal received the Man of the Year award at Vogue Beauty Awards 2019, Siddhant Chaturvedi won the Fresh Face-Male Award
