Malayalam Actor Sathar Passes Away at 67 in Kochi, Funeral at 4 pm

Kerala: Veteran Malayalam actor Sathar left for heavenly abode today morning. Sathar, who was 67 years old passed away at a hospital  in Aluva, Kochi, Kerala. He was admitted a few days back as he was undergoing treatment for liver diseases. The final rites will take place today and the actor’s funeral will take place at 4 PM today at the Padinjare Juma Masjid in Kodungallur. Meanwhile, celebrities and fans of the veteran star have been paying tribute to the actor on social media. Celebrities like Aju Varghese, Kunchacko Boban, filmmaker Lal Jose took to social media and offered condolences for veteran actor Sathar.

The Malayalam actor has done around 300 films and also tried his hands-on production. He ruled the film industry for almost 45 years and was active in the 1970s and 80s. He made his debut with Bharyaye Avashyamundu Samarppanam in 1975 and since then continued to rule the industry with powerful roles. He was seen as a lead actor as well as a villain in the films. His popular films are ‘A Vincent’s Anavaranam’, 22 Female Kottayam, Manglish, Ajnjana Theerangal, Neelathamara, Ee Nadu, Beena and more.

On the work front, he was last seen in the film Onnum Onnum Moonu, a film directed by Abhilash, Bijoy Joseph and VS Sreekanth in 2015.

The noted films throughout his lifetime include 22 Female Kottayam, Manglish, Ajnjana Theerangal, Neelathamara, Ee Nadu, Beena and so on. He has also acted in Telugu as well as Tamil films like Mayil and Soundaryame Varuga Varuga. He will be next seen in the yet-to-be-released film Avarum Ivarum.
