French automaker Renault has launched the new Triber compact MPV in the Indian market. The Renault Triber is a sub-4 metre seven-seater MPV and it carries a starting price of ₹4.95 lakh. The Renault Triber is based on the CMF-A+ platform which also underpins the company’s best-selling product, the Kwid.

The Renault Triber is available in four variants: RxE, RxL, RxS and RxZ. The base variant is priced at ₹4.95 lakh and the top-spec model carries a price tag of ₹6.49 lakh.

The Renault Triber draws power from a 1-litre petrol engine that produces 71bhp and 96 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.

The Renault Triber features a modern design language similar to the company’s European-spec models. The interior of the Renault Triber features a black/beige dual-tone theme with silver accents. The main USP of the Tribber is the third-row seats which are completely removable, in case you want to stove extra luggage.

The standard safety features of the Renault Triber include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, front seat belt reminder and high-speed warning system. The top-spec model gets four airbags and a reverse parking camera.
