According to EC official said that a ‘strong rooms’ have been made where all sealed EVMs and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trial (VVPATs) are kept in presence of candidates and observers of the Commission.

The Strong rooms are absolutely safe as process of sealing EVMs and VVPATs were videotaped.

EC buckles up its duties with strict check on EVM in Strong-rooms:

Strong rooms will be opened on counting day and counting agents will show seal, address tag, serial number of EVM to maintain authenticity and transparency of machine used in elections.

Poll Watchdogs told us that all protocols and provisions have been explained to opposition parties and it has been made clear that if handling of machines will be done with negligence, disciplinary action would be taken.

According to reports, movement of EVM done purposely to replace EVM used in election is false news.

“Mobilization of Electronic Voting Machine used in polls is fake news as visuals which are rapidly viral on media have no connection with machines used in polls,” said Election Commission.

Andhra Pradesh minister N Chandrababu Naidu with 21 other opposition party requested EC to count votes by VVPATs instead of EVMs.
