Nephew of ‘Didi’ Mamata Banerjee sends defamation notice to Narendra Modi

Kolkata: The honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received of defamation notice from West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee.

Mamata who is popular with name of Didi her nephew Abhishek to is ready to bang hardships for Prime Minister as he has sent a notice of defamation to PM in reference of his (Modi’s) wildly fabricated allegations against him in a rally in West Bengal’s Diamond Harbor.

Abhishek demanded an unconditional apology within 36 hours of receipt of the notice and if this is not done he would “initiate congruous legal proceedings”.

Mamata’s nephew was asking for re-elections for seventh phase in Diamond Harbor. It should be noted that PM Modi in a rally here said that time is being over for aunt-n-nephew to torture public of West Bengal.

Abhishek pockmarked against BJP’s Nilanjan Roy who was being supported by Narendra Modi that day. PM Modi said, “torturous period under the bua-bhatija rule, but the people would give them a fitting answer by putting their might behind the BJP.”

PM further claims at rally, “Democracy has turned into goonda-cracy in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress goons have made life hell for people here. But days of goonda cracy are over.”

Modi’s rally at Diamond Harbor comes after a day of road show of saffron party’s chief Amit Shah at North Kolkata which ended with a clash between Trinamool Congress and BJP leaders and turned into wild including the wrecking of iconic statue of 19th century social reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.

Defending Abhishek his advocate in notice claimed that speech was spread in whole media was aimed to harm his (Abhishek’s) reputation. In his notice Abhishek stated “Your speech, punctuated by false, malicious and defamatory content was an embodiment of political calculation and mischievous intent.”

“Your imputations were deliberate and mala fide, perpetrated through thinly veiled references of bhatija (nephew) and didi while being fully aware that Mamata Banerjee is referred to as didi and my client is her only nephew.”

According to notice, “PM Modi’s speech also seemed to suggest that the ruling parliamentarian from Diamond Harbour was “in the habit of encroaching upon public land” and that he was part of a “syndicate involved in organised extortion”.

The notice also said “Such allegations are slanderous, malicious and false, only inhabiting the silos of your party’s collective imagination,” and it also added that usage of words like “goonda” or “goon” does not suits a person occupying prime minister’s constitutional position.

Ahishek Banerjee also took exception to the Prime Minister’s alleged threat of “locking up” his office once are the results of the Lok Sabha elections are announced.
