You need to know about brave heart IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman captured by Pakistan!

After Indian Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was taken into custody by Pakistani forces on Wednesday , there have been several reports coming about his family and his life .

So today we bring you the details about  Indian Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who has made India proud .

The fighter pilot, who has 16 years of experience, is from the southern city of Chennai (formerly known as Madras) is a graduate of the National Defence Academy .

His jet was shot down in what Islamabad called a “retaliation” to India conducting airstrikes in its territory.

His capture was  seen as a major setback for India. but now as Pakistan has freed him its a great news for our country.

Abhinandan Varthaman comes from a family which has served the country for generations.
While his father S Varthaman was an Air Marshall with the Indian Air Force and an ace pilot himself, his grandfather, Simhakutty, had served the nation during World War II in the Air Force.

Abhinandan ‘s wife Tanvi also a retired IAF officer: Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s wife, Tanvi Marwah, has also served in the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a Squadron Leader. Tanvi was honoured several times for her bravery. She has an exceptional title in the IAF. Tanvi has done a number of operations during her tenure to keep the enemies at bay. She has worked hard to keep her family and nation together.

Soon after the attack, a footage of the captive being questioned was also released where he can be heard saying: “My name is Wing Commander Abhinandan and my service number is 27981.”

“I am a flying pilot and my religion is Hindu [sic],” he adds further.

“May I request for a little information, sir? Am I with the Pakistani army?” he questioned while refusing to answer any additional probes.
