Bhubaneswar: An Odisha-cadre IAS officer, Aparajita Sarangi, who recently took voluntary retirement, is set to join the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
“Yes, I’ll join the BJP on November 27,” Sarangi told media persons.

She will join the saffron party in the presence of BJP president Amit Shah and Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the national capital, senior party leader B B Harichandran said.
The 1994 batch IAS officer was on central deputation since 2013 and served as joint secretary (MGNREGA), Ministry of Rural Development.
