Our political leaders who are so successful in their political careers do not started their career by choosing Politics but they have started their careers first job in different fields. Many famous and successful politicians do not have chosen the politics as their first reference. Some politician worked as tea vendor, some as teacher, waitress, upper-division clerk, lawyer and professors and many more.
So here we bring some of the politicians who have started their first job in other occupations:
Pratibha Devi Singh Patil:- She is so well known politician and become the first women President of India. But she has started her first job as lawyer; she practiced law at Jalgaon district court. She did her bachelor’s in Law and masters in Political Science and Economics.
Mayawati:- She is popular as Behanji and is well known face of politics especially in Uttar Pradesh. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is one of the major parties of Uttar Pradesh. She pursued her B.Ed degree and join her first job as teacher while preparing for Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
Sonia Gandhi:- The former Congress Party was born in Italy and completed her studies in Italian Indian Political studies. When she met Rajiv Gandhi she was working as waitress.

Pranab Mukherjee:- Pranab Mukherjee’s first job was as an Upper-division-clerk at office of the Deputy Accountant General, later he became Finance Minister in UPA government.
Manmohan Singh:- Manmohan Singh was a professor at Delhi University. He served as Prime Minister of India for Ten years.
Narendra Modi:- Most people knows the first job of Narendra Modi, he started his first job as a tea vendor. Later he joined BJP and became Chief Minister of Gujarat and now he is serving India as Prime Minister. He became PM of India by winning 2014 elections.
