Rekha was only 14-years old when she stepped into the Bollywood industry. Since then she has been appreciated for her acting talent and her beauty. Actress has carried herself so gracefully that she does not look a day older and looked the same as she was 20 years back.

Rekha’s life has always been a mystery whether it is about her link-up with Amitabh or about her husband’s death. She has always been a limelight. But, one question that always bothers about Rekha is her ‘sindoor’ on the head. Everyone is just so curious to know the reason behind it.
During the shooting of ‘Do Anjaane’ it was Rekha who fell in love with the charming personality of Amitabh . And interestingly, it was during the wedding reception of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu that Rekha made a surprise entry into the party with a sindoor that grabbed eyeballs and it was then people started talking about her hidden marriage with Amitabh. But when she was asked about the same, she gave a surprising answer and said that she has put it because it looks good on her.
Rekha said, “ I was going there straight from a film shooting.. and I don’t worry about people’s reactions. By the way, I think it looks rather nice on me.. sindoor suits me.” During the National Awards event that was held in 1982, she said, “In the city I come from, it’s fashionable to wear sindoor.”
Strange thing is that even after her husband Mukesh death she didn’t stop wearing sindoor. Puneet Issar’s wife Deepali, once said that Rekha does that for a person whom she loves and respects a lot and it is none other than Amitabh Bachchan.
