Mumbai: The film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ which was released on 2177 screens in India, is expected to have a Rs 35 crore plus weekend. It has already earned Rs 30 crore in first three days since its release and that’s a big feat to achieve for an all-women lead cast in Bollywood.
‘Veere Di Wedding’ which stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania has received an overwhelming response at the ticket windows.
‘Veere Di Wedding’ had a fantastic publicity drive with all four of the leads getting equal opportunity to promote their film. It took the weight away from only Kareena and Sonam, whose sister Rhea Kapoor is the producer of the film.

The bromance, featuring four women, has become the third highest opening film of the year so far. ‘Veere Di Wedding’ revolves around four friends-Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Avni (Sonam Kapoor), Sakshi (Swara Bhasker) and Meera (Shikha Talsania).
There is a lot more than that which makes the price of the popcorn worthwhile-this is the first Hindi film in our lifetime that has women just doing whatever the hell they want to do. And, that’s reason enough to celebrate with the Veeres.
The quartet of sassy leading ladies are childhood best friends in the buddy comedy directed by Shashanka Ghosh and written by Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri.
‘Veere Di Wedding’ is facing virtually no competition from the other Bollywood release this week, Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
