Sushant to star in Bollywood remake of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’

Mumbai : Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been roped in to feature in the official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood romantic saga, “The Fault In Our Stars”.

The  movie traces the life of a young girl suffering from cancer, who subsequently meets a boy at a support group and falls in love with him.

Based on John Greens novel, the original movie was directed by Josh Boone.

Sushant will play Ensel Algorts character, Gus, a cancer survivor who falls for the terminally-ill Hazel (originally played by Shailene Woodley).

The film also marks the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

Confirming the news, Chhabra said he is currently working on the script of the movie and the team is on the look-out for its female lead.

“Yes, I am onboard for The Fault in Our Stars remake. Im working on the script at the moment. Sushant is the leading man and we are still in the process of casting the heroine,” he said in a statement.

The remake will be produced by Fox Star Studios and will begin shooting in the first half of next year.
