Mumbai, Sep 12 (IANS) The key Indian equity indices on Tuesday afternoon was trading higher ahead of the macro-data scheduled later in the day.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 157.97 points or 0.50 per cent higher soon after opening.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 47.85 points or 0.48 per cent higher at 10,053.90 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 32,029.15 points, was trading at 32,040.13 points (at 01.03 p.m.), higher 157.97 points or 0.50 per cent from the previous day’s close at 31,882.16 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 32,079.09 points and a low of 31,950.24 points in the trade so far.
All the sector in the BSE were trading in green. The rally was led by realty, oil and gas and healthcare sectors.
