New Delhi: An 18-year-old Nishita Purohit from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat today declared topper of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) entrance examination results.

The AIIMS results were declared today. The AIIMS is the most coveted medical institute in our country and a dream for all the medical aspirants nationwide. The results were declared for the MBBS courses at AIIMS, New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar, Rishikesh and Raipur.

 

 

Nishita is from Gujarat’s Surat district that emerged as the all India topper. It is students like her who make us realise that how bogus the notion of toppers is being geeks. She is a national-level basketball player and had scored 91.4 per cent in her 12th class Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination.

A government panel rejected allegations of question paper leak after the AIIMS today declared the results of its MBBS online entrance test after.

AIIMS 2017 results were declared in the wee hours of early morning today in which Purohit was declared as the topper. While her father is an IIT alumnus, her mother is a home maker.

When asked whether she had expected to top the list, she replied by saying that although she had not expected to top, but was pretty confident that she would be selected for AIIMS. She plans on studying cardiology or radiology at the premier institute.

 

 

On being asked about how she prepared for the exam which has such immense competition and requires a lot of dedication throughout the studying time. She replied by saying that classroom learning was the most important part but it should be followed by self-study and homework completion on daily basis. She said that she would make her own short notes for all subjects but was quick to add “but not much.”

Candidates can check their respective results on www.aiimsexams.org and also on the websites of other six AIIMS institutes. Date of the results for NEET 2017, are also likely to be announced soon.

A total of 28,4,737 candidates appeared, out of which 4,905 have qualified and are eligible for counselling session in AIIMS.

“For the first time in its history, AIIMS New Delhi will be admitting 100 students for this session,” Dr Ashok Kumar Jaryal, head of exams, AIIMS said.

 

 

The results are now available on the official website — aiimsexams.org and also on the websites of other six AIIMS.

The entrance examination for the MBBS course was conducted on May 28th at various centres across the country and around 2.8 lakh students appeared in it.
