Jammu: The Indian Army today shot dead an intruder along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

Army claimed that they have killed an intruder on Sunday morning along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, a defence official said.

 

 

Defence Ministry spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel, Manish Mehta told media persons: “Alert troops of the Army noticed suspicious movement on the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector around 2.30 a.m.”

 

 

“The intruder was killed in ambush. His identity is yet to be ascertained,” Mehta added.

Troops along the LoC in Krishnagati sector of Poonch district shot dead the intruder around 0230 hours, an Army officer said.

 

 

An Army spokesman said the intruder was shot dead in an ambush.
