Mumbai: The eighth edition of Vogue Beauty Awards on August 2, was a star-studded event with the best and finest of India’s film industry gracing the red carpet. From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Disha Patani, celebrities turned up dressed in their finery and made sure the night would be remembered for a long, long time.
Bollywood celebrities have been pushing the edge when it comes to their selection of gowns, and this night was no different. Disha Patani turned heads in a sultry Nikhil Thampi number, while Bollywood’s next generation Navya Naveli looked stunning in a corset-inspired Monisha Jaising gown.
Amitabh Bachchan was there to support the women of his family, given that wife Jaya Bachchan, daughter Shweta Nanda Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda made it to our August 2017 cover, which was revealed this evening.
While the legend’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was honoured with the global icon award,
Varun Dhawan took home the ‘Most Beautiful Man of the Year’ award, and Akshay Kumar took home the prize for ‘Most Beautiful Man of the Decade’.
It comes as no surprise that Shahid and Mira Rajput Kapoor walked away with the accolade for ‘Most Beautiful Couple’.
Given that this year marks Vogue India’s 10th year, the night was truly special. The Best Kept Secret provided entertainment for the evening while guests mingled before the awards ceremony sipping Fratelli wine.

Keeping the festive mood in mind, celebrities showed up in their glam best. While jury member Karisma Kapoor picked a strapless Amit Aggarwal number, the Bachchan women matched in pastel hues.
Aditi Rao Hydari opted for a colourful Basil Soda gown, and Disha Patani chose a peek-a-boo Nikhil Thampi.
