Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has taken a very important decision. The Defense Minister has said that the Ministry of Defense is now ready to pursue self-reliance initiatives.
“The ministry has now prepared a list of 101 defense equipment whose imports will be banned. Now production in the defense sector will be encouraged. ” The defense minister told.
The Defense Minister said that this decision is a major step towards India’s self-reliance in the defense sector.
The equipment being banned for import includes high technology weapons (assault rifles, sonar systems, transport aircraft, LCH, radar).
