Realme GT 2 Pro India launch is set for April 7
Realme is gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphone in India on April 7. The company has already announced the same phone in China. So, we know what could be the possible specifications and features of the new flagship phone. It will likely be similar to the Chinese model.
This will be the latest smartphone in India to ship with the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. In China, the Realme GT 2 Pro is shipping with a 2K Samsung E4 AMOLED display that is about 6.7-inches in size. The device has a LTPO 2.0 display, which means that it can automatically adjust the refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz, based on the content that is playing on the screen. So, this will help save some battery life too.
The screen has support for 1,400nits of brightness, 1,000Hz of touch sampling rate, HDR10+ certification, and MEMC for a smoother content viewing experience. The panel is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and the back panel has a textured surface for better grip. There is a triple camera setup at the back, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-wide-angle sensor, and a 40X microscope lens. One will be able to record 4K videos as well.
While the Realme GT Neo 3 is being offered in China with 80W and 120W options, the company is offering support for only 65W fast charging with the GT 2 Pro. But, this should be enough for most people as it is fast enough to quickly top up the phone’s battery unit. The handset has a 5,000mAh battery under the hood.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is being sold in China for RMB 3,699, which is around Rs 43,400 in India when converted. The company is expected to offer this device in India in the same price range. Currently, the OnePlus 9RT is selling in India for Rs 42,999, which will give stiff competition to the Realme GT 2 Pro.
Motorola will announce Moto G22 in India on April 8
Next in the line is the Moto G22, which will launch on April 8. This is a budget device and will be available for purchase via Flipkart. Ahead of the launch, the e-commerce site revealed the key features of the upcoming Motorola smartphone. It will have a 90Hz LCD display and feature a typical 50-megapixel quad rear camera setup. The company is claiming that this Motorola phone will have a water-repellent design. This basically means it will have protection against water splashes. The listing has confirmed that the handset will run on Android 12 out of the box. It will sport a punch-hole display design and the cut out will be placed in the centre on the upper side of the screen, similar to Samsung phones. The Moto G22 will have support for 20W fast charging. It has a typical 5,000mAh battery under the hood, similar to most budget phones in the market.
It will be powered by a Mediate Helio G37 processor. Motorola is promising that the device will receive at least three years of security updates. The listing doesn’t reveal whether the device will get one or two years of major Android OS update. The Moto G22 is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000 in India.

The teasers reveal that the new Oppo phone is using the Sony IMX709 sensor for selfies. The Oppo F21 Pro is tipped to cost Rs 21,990 in India, which will reportedly be the price for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
