Los Angeles: Actor Burt Reynolds says he has no sympathy for actor Charlie Sheen, who has been diagnosed as HIV positive.
Reynolds, 79, says Sheen is paying the price for his party-loving lifestyle and so he doesn’t feel sorry for the “Two and a Half Men” actor in any way, as per reports.
Reynolds, whose career was beset by HIV rumours in the 1980s, was asked if he felt sorry for Sheen.
“For Charlie, no, he deserves it. He misbehaved badly. Very badly,” he said on TV show “Loose Women”.
“But you know when you’re that age, it’s tough. All those things are coming at you and it’s difficult,” he added.
Reynolds said he’s a close friend of Sheen’s father, actor Martin Sheen, and so he is sympathetic to the father’s situation.
“He’s (Charlie) handled it badly I think. His father is a very, very decent man and a dear friend of mine.
“I feel bad for him, but Charlie, I don’t feel bad for him. He’s getting what he deserves. If you’re going to misbehave like that, they’re going to get you,” he said.
